4 things I love: Tampaksiring, bags, Tampaksiring photo on a bag (I am still testing for quality) and my new ban.do.

Bangawoyo!

Now you know how to greet people in Korean. Yes, I finally edited my flickr! account. I figured this becomes a full time job, once you upload pictures and have to tag and name them all.
I have a new favorite tea. I feel like I am cheating on Japanese Cherry with Hammam.
There are a few things I brought back from Bali I am very excited about. Glass beads I will use to decorate new broaches with. Keben, balinese offering basket, that doesn’t stand on my head as it does on the heads of balinese women. Bali coffee kopi. A pair of statues that are given to balinese couples as a wedding present. My mother said we will soon look like that, if we keep traveling to those places.
Day Thirteen: Fischer Fritz fischt frische fische

We got up early to catch Jimbaran’s fish market. Winter is a low fishing season. The Swordfish we dropped our chins at, is a small catch. In summer, they catch fish like that, weighing 150 kilos, this one had about 40.
Beach front in the afternoon is a prime time and place to be. I like that it is not just the place for tourists. Local people like to play football, young families come to play with children, walk their dogs, fly kites. And I mustn’t forget the beach sellers. They sell just about anything. You can clothe yourself, decorate your apartment, eat, drink, get massages, pedicure, manicure, overpaint the nails or listen to live music being played to you. Well, this is certainly not a Bali special, but I forget every time I visit this places, that the beach is not a very serene place.
Day Twelve: That Light

A cloudy day in a hot climate like this is a bless. We walked all the way from Seminyak to the airport and made a few necessary stops on the way. Found a cool store, selling Obey Clothing and some amazing prints and a book. When the sun broke out from the clouds, we were walking along Tuban area, full of expensive resorts and no shadow to hide in. We melted like boiling frogs.
There is an amazing turquoise blue light that appears on the beach, just after the sunset. Of course there is two hours after sunrise and two before the sunset light conditions, but this light after sunset, which lasts just about ten minutes, is something else. It’s like a elite chrome effect on film. Every day, we waited for that light. Sun sets, cameras out.
