Slovenia has an association dedicated to the roasted potatoes. It’s full name translates Association for the recognition of roasted potatoes as a separate dish. This saturday, on 4th September 2010, they hosted an international festival of roasted potatoes, which saw a few thousand people. Imagine a majority of those people standing in lines for a free plate of potatoes. Crowdy.
Well, never mind. This event took place on Breg street and our Artmarket event was moved to a previous location, on Šuštar’s bridge, and that couldn’t make us more happier.
Later on in the day I attended a nice wedding.

I love a rainy summer day now and then. I am starting to get fond of taking pictures in the rain. I should get this rain cover though. As they say; There is no such thing as bad weather, there’s just bad equipment.

My father says ”You are a child as long as you have parents”.
Yesterdays opening of Mankica Kranjec’s photo exhibition ”Ljubljana Graffiti” was exceptional. Twelve giant photographs of Ljubljana’s graffiti, collected over five years, exhibited on Ljubljanica’s riverbank. A river boat took us to see all the giant photos. The other treat was live graffiti.
The evening was perfect.

Little girl, blond curly hair, angel like appearance, sat in this fancy café, with her sister and cousins. After finishing her ice cream, the waiter came to clear the table and asked if they wanted anything else. The little girl opened her mouth and accidentally burped aloud. That little girl was me about 25 years ago.
After being closed for so many years even decades, café Nebotičnik opened up again. Bringing us back a coffee place, an ice cream place, a good view place and so many memories.

Nice day at the Artmarket today. Finally, Ljubljana’s Breg is breathing with its new riverbank.
Happy weekend.
